Sugar Grove has been blessed with a beautiful library, but
sadly, the referendums never passed and we have been running a large library on
very little funds. None of the library
employees are full-time, and they work so hard to provide us with such great service.
We also have many volunteers who donate their time to restock the shelves. The library is starting to need some repairs,
so we decided to hold a Garage sale! It
will be indoors in our conference room on
Friday, May 19th and Saturday, May 20th from 8am until
Noon. Anything that does not sell
will be donated to Village Bible Church for their garage Sale the following weekend.
You can help in two ways.
If you have an item to donate for the library to sell, you can drop it
off at the library during regular business hours on Wednesday or Thursday. (May
17/18) Or, you can come and shop on Friday or Saturday.
Please Note: No TV’s, Monitors, large
pieces, or clothing. Kid shoes will be accepted.
Also, if you live in Walnut Woods or Bliss Woods, we have
people in those subdivisions that will do a porch pick-up if you can’t make it
to the library. Or you can do a porch drop off to their address listed below.
The library has so many wonderful programs and is such an
asset to the community. Please consider helping us in some way.
Another fundraising idea we are doing is we are growing
herbs and will be selling them at the Farmers Market this summer. Please look for us on Saturdays from 8am
until Noon at the Village/Police Department parking lot starting Saturday June
3rd, 2017.
