Participants will learn the art of canning, which will enable individuals to extend beyond the growing season the life of the healthy foods they grow or buy. During the program, Kathy will demonstrate the steps of canning and will answer questions from the audience. Handouts will be provided.

In addition, Kathy will explain how canned produce can be used to create many healthy dishes, such as delicious homemade Italian and Mexican sauces.
